Beach Photography and Some Tips.
On The Beach.
There are many beautiful things to photograph on a beach, like sand dunes or wild sea oats a kind of cereal grass that grows wild on some beaches. There are sea shells and birds and old broken piers or sea walls. There may be rocks and rock pools with sea weed and the reflection of people. Look for cloud reflections in the sea or in the small pools. And at sunset be sure to look for the red glow in the wet sand as the water recedes.
What Lens To Use.
Use a wide angle lens to get it all in maybe a 24x70mm, compose your photos from down low like a crabs eye view and remember the 123 Rule. Foreground. Midground and Background. A 200 or 300mm for zooming in on birds may be a good idea. The Tamron all in one 28x300mm is not too expensive and will do wide angle and zoom in for the wild life shots.
Beach Paintography.
Beach scenes lend themselves real well to paintography with the texture of the sand and waves. Distant people and birds can be transformed with paintography.
Bonita Beach.
For me Bonita beach is one of my favorite beaches it is always good for photography with warm colored Sea Oats, and lots of shells. Sometimes stormy skies, maybe the sea is calm sometimes it is rough. But I also like it as it is a wild beach even though it is in a tourist area.
Close Ups.
Be sure to get close up shots of the sea shells, sea grass or sea oats, shoot from low down with a wide-angle lens and capture a panorama of the beach in the same photograph.
