Photos Florida Everglades Reflections.

Paintography of Reflections. I love to be out with my camera as the sun come up or goes down in the beautiful swamp, often by the water. As a nature photographer dawn and sunset are by far the best times of the day to be doing photography as the light is at it's softest and warmest in color terns that is. These are the golden hours and it is also the time of the day when there is the least wind to ripple the water and spoil your reflection photography.

Reflection Photography. At dawn and sunset in the Florida Everglades the birds like the egrets and herons are often feeding in the still swampy waters and their reflections can clearly be seen, look at the relections the birds and the surrounding like a tree, reeds or grass produce in the water and compose your shot to take it all in.

Photography Tips.

Photographing Reflections. Ok it's early early evening and the sunset is just a few minutes away so first remember to change the white balance if you have it on daylight, auto white balance usually does a descent job or use the camera's sunset setting if it has one as you want to bring out those warm golden red tones.

Exposure Compensation. It can often help with the richness of color and the mood of the picture if you change the exposure compensation setting to -1 or -2 but be careful it does not make your photos too dark, if it does you can increase the ISO setting to around 800/1600. You also will be better with a small f-number like f5.6 as you do not need a huge depth of field like you do when shooting landscapes.
